Board Members: The survey cited is 80% staff, with families and community members making up less than 20%—hardly representative of the community. Nor does it cite the total number of respondents. Now the district says they’ll hold focus groups and select meetings, but without clear plans to ensure broader participation, this risks repeating the same problem: collecting input from a narrow subset and calling it “community-informed.” True engagement requires intentional outreach that actually reflects the families and residents the district serves. .

On the current schedule, there is a Master's +30 lane (E2310). On the proposed schedule, that lane no longer appears, leaving only the Master's lane (E2309). My question is: Where will employees currently classified as Master's +30 fall on the new schedule? Many employees have invested significant time and money to earn those additional graduate hours. It is the district's responsibility to clearly communicate how employees will be placed and compensated under a new salary schedule, and that information has not been provided. Since today is our first opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns, I respectfully request clarification before any final action is taken. Thank you.

Bus drivers deserve a pay raise, not reduced hours. Bus attendants also deserve a substantial pay increase, we are dedicated and we work hard a pay increase is well overdue.

I just wanted to say how glad I am to see that EBR is, at long last, giving teachers a raise! However I do hope teachers are going to be placed on the step that reflects their years of experience on the new pay scale, and not be dropped down to a lower step in the transition. Has that been clarified?
