The high number of expulsions on the agenda tonight is very concerning and displays that there is a major issue with the disciplinary process within EBR schools. Student behavioral issues is one of the reasons why some teachers quit during the school year. This could suggest that the current disciplinary system, which often times is subjective might be too punitive or ineffective in addressing behavioral issues. I hope you take a closer examination of the reasons behind these expulsions, as well as exploring alternative disciplinary methods.
