Please clarify, before voting on this item, whether the proposal is to transfer all the current JK Haynes students away from their current site code of 017161, or to keep them enrolled as students of JK Haynes while they are educated at other physical locations.

I would suggest consideration of this request be deferred until more information can be provided regarding the effectiveness of this vendor's services and the wisdom of renewing a contract worth $3.6 million annually without exploring other possibilities for serving the students.

I agree with Mr. Gaudet. My baby needs these services as a SPED student. This is very disruptive. You all approved the contract for EMERGE with no objections. What’s happening here?

Agency/Org:
SPED services for EBR students are always at the bottom of the totem pole. This board is not educated about the impacts to students and their education regarding these students. That should not be so. You all should have standing agenda items for SPED.

Federal law requires that all student with IEP needing PT and OT services are required to obtain services in public and charter schools. My son continues to receive both of these services since attending Southdowns PreK at 3 years old. Medicaid covers about 83% of billing costs and these service providers serve 1300 students with disabilities in the system. The Emerge contract was approve about grant 250,000 or more. These service providers work with children at multiple schools in the district and serve those with multiple and sever disabilities. These providers are highly qualified and have been serving our children for years. My son has built a relationship with his service providers. Renew this contract.
